I just read this text coming from a theist I’ve been communicating with over the past couple of months:

I find it much easier to question everyone else which keeps me conveniently busy from questioning myself.”

I think it’s time for me to give up and realize that he’s never going to stop viewing atheism as a belief system that’s rooted in pride. After several emails with him, I have to conclude that he’s a severely indoctrinated, passive-aggressive, close-minded, misinformed and irrational person. Maybe now I know why, at least partially, that this is the case. He’s got half of the necessary components to build a well-rounded worldview, but the other half, questioning himself, is absent.

Might send him one more email, then part ways with him for good.
